Jostens Renaissance
The majority of my classroom ideology comes from Jostens Renaissance's mission statement and foundation. What I resonate the most with is their five "R's"

The five R's
In my very first Jostens Renaissance conference I was presented with this slogan that seemed so simple, but had so much volume to it. This is exactly how I would like to think I run my classroom. When students are respected and recognized, good behavior is rewarded and reinforced, and most importantly, positive relationships are formed - you truly will see nothing but positive results.
The Harbor TV
One of the weekly practices I maintained in my classroom was showing Harbor TV episodes. Typically on Mondays to go along with our school's slogan 'Make it Matter Monday' I would choose an episode to show to all of my classes. The Harbor TV, hosted by Mike Smith, is a free resource for all schools. I highly recommend!
